Sync POP invoices to Zoho Books with an n8n workflow
The scenario
A business that keeps its books on Zoho Invoice or Zoho Books wants every invoice (TD01) or credit note
(TD04) POP generates to land there automatically, but needs control over the flow — for example routing
differently by customer type, or adding validation steps before creation — instead of a plain on/off
switch.
How it fits together
The dedicated n8n-nodes-pop-zoho package (separate from the main
n8n-nodes-pop node, which handles SdI/PEPPOL/VIES) runs on a self-hosted n8n instance and connects to
POP’s Webhooks panel through the n8n Connector — Zoho connector: an n8n webhook receives the payload, a
dedicated node transforms it and creates the document on Zoho via OAuth2. The whole flow is testable in
Dry Run/environment: "sandbox" before anything is actually created on Zoho.
This is the path to choose when the Zoho sync needs to live inside a larger workflow (with other nodes, conditions, systems). If a managed channel without maintaining your own n8n instance is enough, the native Zoho sync covers the same outcome with a one-step activation from the account panel, no infrastructure to maintain.
Why it works
Teams that already run self-hosted n8n for other automations reuse the same infrastructure for the Zoho sync, with room to add conditional logic around document creation — a level of control the simpler native channel doesn’t offer.
