Syncing stock with Fatture in Cloud
Goal
Link WooCommerce products to their Fatture in Cloud counterparts and keep stock in sync between the two systems.
Prerequisites
- The Fatture in Cloud (Stock Management) addon — it only works together with the base Fatture in Cloud integration.
- While connecting to Fatture in Cloud you must also have granted the Stock permission (a write scope on stock): without this permission, the products-download button doesn’t appear.
Steps
1. Download/update products
In the addon’s tab, use the “Get or Update products” button to import the product list from Fatture in Cloud (the date of the last update is also shown).
2. Associate products
You can link each WooCommerce product to a Fatture in Cloud product in two equivalent ways:
- from the “Associate the product” selector on the WooCommerce product page (simple product or variation);
- by entering in the WooCommerce product’s SKU field the same code as the product on Fatture in Cloud — the match happens automatically by code correspondence, without needing the selector.
What it syncs
- Every time you update the stock of a WooCommerce product (simple or variation), the stock of the linked product on Fatture in Cloud is updated accordingly.
- When a product goes back into stock after a refund, synchronization resumes.
- When an invoice is uploaded, for every product line present in the document the stock on Fatture in Cloud is aligned with WooCommerce’s.
Verify
- After updating the stock of a linked product, check the quantity on the corresponding product page in Fatture in Cloud: it must reflect the new value.
Common errors
- The “Get or Update products” button doesn’t appear — the connected Fatture in Cloud account doesn’t have write permission on stock: redo the connection including the Stock scope.
- The product doesn’t sync — it isn’t associated with any Fatture in Cloud product: check the “Associate the product” selector, or that the SKU field matches exactly the code on Fatture in Cloud.
- Stock doesn’t update on variations — the association must be done per individual variation (SKU or selector), doing it on the parent product alone isn’t enough.
