Connecting Fatture in Cloud to WooCommerce
Goal
Link your Fatture in Cloud account to the POP plugin, choose which documents to generate (invoices or orders) and, optionally, tag documents with a revenue center.
Prerequisites
- The Fatture in Cloud addon installed and active.
- A Fatture in Cloud account with at least: a payment account (e.g. “Standard account”) and the payment methods you use in WooCommerce (bank transfer, cash on delivery, cash, card) already created — these are prerequisites of the Fatture in Cloud account, not plugin settings.
- Only one invoice-sending integration can be active at a time (Fatture in Cloud, Aruba, SDI via PEC, SDI via POP…): if another one is already active, deactivate it before connecting Fatture in Cloud.
Steps
You can connect your Fatture in Cloud account in two equivalent ways: from the WordPress plugin (which
also lets you choose granular permissions, see below), or directly from the account panel on
popapi.io (My Account > Integrations > Fatture in Cloud > Connect) — useful if you’re not
integrating through WordPress (e.g. direct API). Both paths show the same OAuth authorization popup
(code + link).
1. Choose permissions and connect the account (WordPress plugin)
In the plugin’s Fatture in Cloud tab, before connecting, select the permissions to grant:
- Invoices or Orders — these are two mutually exclusive permissions: selecting one automatically deselects the other. If you choose Orders, the plugin will create an order-list document on Fatture in Cloud instead of a proper invoice.
- Credit Note, Receipts, Clients — additional optional permissions.
- Stock — only needed if you’ll use stock synchronization (see fatture-in-cloud-warehouse-sync).
Click Connect: a popup opens with a code and an authorization link. Don’t close the popup — open the link, authorize the app on Fatture in Cloud by entering the code shown, then return to the plugin: you’ll see the message “Access Token successful!“.
2. Set the revenue center (optional)
If you manage multiple businesses or business lines, fill in the Revenue center field (e.g.
e-commerce): the value is added to every invoice/order created on Fatture in Cloud to identify the
source of the sale. If you leave the field empty, no revenue center data is sent.
Verify
- In the plugin’s Fatture in Cloud tab, the connection status shows as active (token saved).
- Generate a test order (see fatture-in-cloud-auto-send) and check that the document appears on Fatture in Cloud in the chosen format (invoice or order).
Common errors
- The authorization popup closes without completing the connection — don’t close or reload the page until “Access Token successful!” appears: the code shown expires if the procedure isn’t completed in time.
- Invoices are created instead of orders (or vice versa) — the two permissions are mutually exclusive on the Fatture in Cloud side: to change them you have to redo the connection choosing the correct permission, a separate setting after connecting isn’t enough.
- The revenue center doesn’t appear on the document — verify you saved the field in the settings tab: if it’s empty, the data simply isn’t sent.
