Transmitter data on the e-invoice
Goal
Fill in, if needed, the transmitter data: the party that physically sends the XML file to the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI), which can be the company itself or an intermediary acting on its behalf.
Prerequisites
- Initial setup wizard completed (see first-installation).
Steps
- Go to
POP → Electronic Invoice - Settings, General tab, Transmission Data section. - Fill in, if relevant to your case, the fields (all optional):
- Transmitter ID — VAT number of the transmitter/intermediary.
- Transmitter Phone number.
- Transmitter email address.
- Save.
If you leave everything blank, the transmission channel in use will apply its own default values (e.g. its own data as the direct transmitter).
Verify
Generate a test document and check, in the generated XML, that the transmitter data block reflects the values you entered (or stays empty/default if you didn’t fill them in).
Common errors
- The fields appear disabled/not editable — after completing the wizard and connecting the account
(active license), the company and transmitter data in General become read-only in
wp-admin: any further changes must be made from the POP account panel, not from here. - You use the Aruba add-on or another channel that acts as an intermediary on your behalf — in that case the channel can manage its own transmitter data independently (e.g. its own tax code as an authorized intermediary): check the specific documentation for the active add-on/channel, since it can differ from what’s configured here in the General tab.
- You’re not sure whether you need to fill in these fields — if you don’t use an intermediary for sending (e.g. you send via SdI via POP directly as the company), you can leave them blank.
