Seller billing details (issuer address override) on Shopify
Goal
Replace Shopify’s default billing address with the seller’s correct fiscal data in the documents generated by POP (PDF, SdI XML, PEPPOL UBL).
Prerequisites
- Access to Settings > Seller billing details in the POP for Shopify app.
Steps
Fill in all fields in the Seller billing details section:
- Billing email
- Phone
- Address (line 1) and optionally line 2
- ZIP / Postal code
- City
- Province (2-letter ISO code)
- Country (2-letter ISO code)
The override activates only if all required fields are filled in: the card shows an “Override active” badge when the configuration is complete, “Override incomplete” otherwise. If even a single field is missing, POP uses the billing address configured on Shopify in its place (field by field: a missing value here doesn’t blank out the others, it always falls back to the corresponding Shopify data).
Verify
- With all fields filled in, generate a test document and check that the issuer address in the PDF/XML matches the data entered here, not the Shopify store’s.
- Clear a single field (e.g. City) and verify that the next document uses the Shopify value only for that specific field.
Common errors
- The document still shows the Shopify address — check the badge: if it shows “Override incomplete” at least one required field is missing.
- Province or Country rejected — they must be entered as a 2-letter ISO code (e.g.
MI,IT), not spelled out.

This setting only concerns the seller/issuer address. For the customer’s fiscal data (VAT number, Tax Code, customer type) see shopify-fiscal-data-management.
