Bank details on the invoice for bank transfer payments
Goal
Automatically show bank details on the generated document when the order’s payment method is a bank transfer.
Prerequisites
- Access to Settings > Bank transfer payment in the POP for Shopify app.
Steps
- Fill in Beneficiary with the same name present in Shopify’s payment settings.
- Fill in Bank name and IBAN.
- Optional: set Payment due (days) (e.g. 30) to indicate the bank transfer due date on the invoice.
POP automatically detects whether an order was paid by bank transfer (based on the Shopify payment method or gateway used at checkout) and, only in that case, inserts the configured beneficiary, bank, and IBAN into the XML and PDF, for SdI and PEPPOL. For orders paid with other methods (card, PayPal, cash on delivery, direct debit…) these fields are not inserted.
Verify
- Generate a document for an order paid by bank transfer and check that the beneficiary, bank, and IBAN appear in the payment section of the PDF/XML.
- Generate a document for an order paid by card and verify that these fields do not appear.
Common errors
- Bank details don’t appear on an order paid by bank transfer — check that the Shopify payment gateway/method used is actually recognized as bank transfer; custom payment methods with non-standard names might not be detected.
- The data appears on an order paid differently — this shouldn’t happen: check the order’s actual payment method in Shopify Admin.
