Emails with XML/PDF invoice and receipt attached on order completion

Configurationwordpress2026-07-01

Goal

Manage the automatic emails POP adds to WooCommerce’s transactional emails, each with a different document attached.

What the plugin adds

POP registers 3 additional emails in WooCommerce’s email list (WooCommerce > Settings > Emails), all triggered when the order moves to “Completed” status:

EmailAttachment
Send Invoice XML on order completedXML invoice
Send Invoice PDF on order completedPDF invoice
Send Receipt PDF on order completedPDF receipt

Each one is a standalone WooCommerce email: you can enable/disable it and customize its subject/heading independently of the others, exactly like WooCommerce’s standard emails (new order, order completed, etc.).

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.
  2. Find the three entries listed above among the available emails.
  3. Enable the ones you need and customize the subject/heading if necessary.
  4. Save.

Verify

Generate a test order and move it to “Completed”: you should receive (or see in the log/email queue) the enabled emails, each with its respective attachment.

Common errors

For sending the pro-forma invoice/receipt via WooCommerce’s standard order-completed email, see pro-forma-invoice-email.
